Jim Farrell
Bio
Since the early 1980s I have been working as an educator in a wide variety of areas in the music industry. I enjoyed each of these areas with great enthusiasm as a student and found myself sharing my love of music through teaching at all levels. I love all genres of choral music, instrumental music, the marching arts, arranging and writing choral music and directing ensembles. It has also been a priority for my ensembles to travel throughout the world, sharing their talents and soaking up the culture of the countries we have visited.
Education
Throughout my education, I feel that I was blessed to have been taught and influenced by many great educators. My formal degrees, Bachelor's in Music Education - Vocal Emphasis and Master's in Music - Theory and Composition, were earned at the University of Northern Colorado, but my teaching style was influenced by Denny Sullivan, Ray Sheehan, Ron Revier, Steve Meininger,
Dr. Gene Aitken, Dr. Howard Skinner, Dr. Evan Copley, and a host of educators that I worked with during my drum corps experience.
